Duke 대학은 강의를 위해 학생들에게 ipod을 나눠줬다. Stanford와Berkeley대학 등 명문대학들은 포드캐스팅으로 강의를 일반에게 공개한다. Havard 대학은 토론이 없는 대학 강의는 무의미하다며 이를 비난했다. Apple은 iTunes라는 플랫폼을 통해 수 많은 컨텐츠들을 제공하고 있다. UCC(유져가 만드는 컨텐츠)가 뜨고 있고 변화는 예고 되고 있다. 그러나, 국내에서는 아직 관심이 많지 않다.

그 동안은 iTunes를 기본적인 음악재생 프로그램으로만 사용하고 있었고 외국의 대학강의들은 주로 스트리밍 방식을 통해 Realplayer로 듣고 있었다. 드래그 앤 드랍으로 포드캐스팅 아이콘을 iTunes에 떨어뜨리기만 하면 되는 것이었다. 관심있는 경영학, 경제학 등등

iTunes가 설치되어 있다면, 아래 링크표시되어 있는 제목을 iTunes의 Podcast로 끌어다가 놓으면 등록이 된다.

국내 대학들 중에는 아직 포드캐스팅을 하는 곳은 없는 것 같고 오마이뉴스에서 서비스를 시작하긴 했는데, native가 영어를 너무 천천히 읽어줘서 지워버렸다. 차라리 한국 사람이 천천히 읽어주면 몰라도 어찌나 어색하던지 말이야! 여기저기서 조금씩 듣고 있던 podcasting을 iTunes에 몰아 넣고 보니 자료가 1G가까이 되네~~정보의 바다에서 수영하는 법을 빨리 배워야겠다. 힘 들이지 않고 자유롭게 다니는 법을 빨리 익혀야겠어!
